Dimitris Zeppos

He holds a PhD in Pedagogy (2008, University of Athens), a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics – Language Pedagogy (2001, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a degree in Greek and German Language and Literature (1998, University of Athens). He teaches German at all levels of the Greek private (since 1983) and public (since 2001) education. Furthermore, he has taught German at the University Language Centre (2009, University of Athens) and the Greek Military Academy (2009 and 2010, Athens). Furthermore he is an Assistant Lecturer (Tutor) at the Hellenic Open University (since 2008).  His scientific activities include papers and presentations at national and international educational forums, workshops and seminars for German Language teachers, examiners of the National Foreign Language Exam System (KPG) and newly employed public language teachers. He is currently involved, as an expert of German, in the development, conducting of seminars and piloting of the New National Foreign Language Curriculum, an ongoing project managed by the Pedagogical Institute. Furthermore, he participates in various research projects associated with the NNFLC. His research interests lie in the areas of foreign language teacher education, language didactics and pedagogical-didactical issues of modern technology in modern foreign language education on a main-stream-level. He has published primary research on German as a Foreign Language in peer-reviewed journals and was scientific adviser for the Pan-Hellenic Association of GL-Teachers (PEKAGEPE).
