Manina Dourali

Manina Dourali graduated from the Applied Informatics and Multimedia Department of Vocational Training Institute in Rentis, Athens and continued her studies in the 3D Animation Department of Intergraphics College.  She graduated with distinction while her CD-ROM dissertation entitled “The history of fairy tales” was awarded as best project of the year. 

Her 23-year professional activities include Graphic & Web design services that cover the whole visual communication spectrum, regarding company profile design (specialized in Maritime Consulting), book & magazine layouts, website and interactive application design, multimedia CD-ROMs, photography editing and 3D illustration and also graphic design for TV spots.

She has worked in the private sector as a designer in publishing companies, and she has taught digital image editing and creation. 

In 2006, she participated in the title design of the greek tv series ‘Tiflomiga’ directed by the renowned director,  Kostas Koutsomitis and broadcasted by ‘Alpha’ TV station.

In 2008, she founded ‘Groovy GraphX’ creative bureau, adding professional profile management in social media and mobile application design to her services.

She undertook the artistic design of the “Maya Renderer” mobile phone application, which was awarded in the Microsoft Hakathron competition.

She has been co-operating with the RCel (Research Centre for the Language Teaching, Testing and Assessment) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens since February 2012, designing mainly websites interface & components, as well as printed material.

She is an active member of the Greek Graphic Designers Association, and a founding member of the Committee on labour affairs.

She holds the Certificate of Proficiency in the English Language (ECPE) from the University of Michigan and the Basico in the Spanish language. 

Her scientific interests involve new technologies, virtual and augmented reality.
