Ανάλυση ερωτημάτων

Item analysis allows us to observe the characteristics of a particular question (item) and can be used to ensure that questions are of an appropriate standard and select items for test inclusion.' (SCROLLA, 2003)

"Classical item analysis (called 'classical' because it is based on classical test theory), can serve a range of important purposes. It can provide:

• Diagnostic feedback to test takers on how they performed on individual test tasks;
• Feedback to teachers and course developers relevant to the improvement of instruction;
• Feedback to test developers and test writers, to improve the usefulness of the test, enabling the test developer to:

1.       Control the characteristics of the total score distribution, specifically the level of difficulty of the test and the dispersion of the test scores.

2.       Increase the internal consistency reliability of the test; and

3.       Diagnose why items fail to function appropriately." (p.121)

Η 'ανάλυση' ερωτημάτων μας επιτρέπει να παρατηρήσουμε τα χαρακτηριστικά ενός συγκεκριμένου ερωτήματος και μπορεί να εξασφαλίσει την καταλληλότητα των ερωτημάτων, ώστε να ενταχθούν στην εξέταση (SCROLLA, 2003). Οι πληροφορίες που μας παρέχονται μέσω της ανάλυσης ερωτημάτων σχετίζονται με:

• Την απόδοση των υποψηφίων
• Το πρόγραμμα διδασκαλίας και τη βελτίωσή του
• Το σχεδιασμό των εξετάσεων και των θεμάτων αλλά και την εξέλιξή τους
