| 'That part of an objective test which sets the problem to be answered by the student: usually either in a multiple-choice form as a statement (stem) followed by several choices (options) of which one is the right answer (key) and the rest are not (distractors); or, in true-false form as a single statement which the student must judge to be either right or wrong.'
